People from all over the world are involved in the manufacture of our products. This means that we have a responsibility – of which we are very much aware. That’s why we are committed to promoting human rights and improving working conditions around the world. This is our contribution to a more sustainable textile industry.
In 2022, we joined the FAIR WEAR FOUNDATION, Europe’s leading organisation for the improvement of working conditions in textile factories and supply chains. Together with other NGOs, trade unions and member brands, the Fair Wear Foundation is committed to the highest labour standards in the textile industry. In 2023, LIEBESKIND BERLIN was rated “good” in our first Brand Performance Check from the Fair Wear Foundation.
IMPROVING WORKING CONDITIONS
Together with the Fair Wear Foundation, we have set up a reporting system for all our suppliers as part of our legal obligations for transparency and accountability. This allows people in our supply chain to report concerns or violations on an anonymous and confidential basis. We take these reports seriously and investigate them thoroughly to ensure the integrity of our practices.
Through our risk management system, we can identify hazards in our supply chain at an early stage and do something about them. Our own teams regularly check our production facilities and we run training courses on work standards together with the Fair Wear Foundation.
CODE OF CONDUCT
At the heart of our activities there is a strict code of conduct for the procurement of goods. Among other things, this code forms the foundation for our business relationships with suppliers, strictly prohibits child labour and forced labour and sets down guidelines for minimum wages, working hours and occupational health and safety. The code also requires that our suppliers adhere to basic environmental and animal welfare principles.
